This N That
Trying to complete some projects before starting anymore after I complete the kids pixels. So, put together my sampler top. Been hand stitching the Dresden tie quilt and slowly epp my stars together, though still need 95 more and all the white to tie it together. I also whipped up some drawstring bags for a couple of our boardgames that needed them.
My hubby called it a Strawberry Shortcake quilt.
Stars, stars, stars
Coming together nicely.

Another Note
I really enjoy boardgames and have begun to build a pretty large collection. So much so, that my loving husband bought me two more shelves. He was the first to get into boardgames and then got me hooked. Now, I have more room for the games I keep sweet talking my husband into buying.

Just a Peek
Went ahead and laid them out. Like the looks. Took pic to help keep it straight when I get sewing. Just how it should look before adding border, hopefully.
Boys Presenting Colors
My boys are in Young Marines and have been presenting the colors at our local highschool for in town football games. They've been doing a great job of it.
Back To It
Now that I've finished the pixels, realized I needed to get back to the dresden tie quilt. Out of sight out of mind. So, I pulled it out and got all the points sewed in and pressed. The white background fabric is in the dryer now after being washed. Get to iron that next. Now to play out how I want these dresdens to look.

AGES
Its been a long while since I've posted anything. I have been pushing myself to finish all the pixel blocks. I can now say they are done. Whoo, was getting tired of all those 2 and 1/2" squares. Now I have 20 and 1/2" squares. However, I plan to let the kids puzzle them out. Then back to sewing. At least I've a bit of a break to get back to work on a few other things.
As individual squares, I'll admit I wasn't sure how these would turn out. I'm pleasantly suprised, decided to try something new and different and it worked. Though they will be a booger bear for the kids to solve. I just hope that they will enjoy solving and sleeping under these quilts. Plan to add batting and use fleece for backing. I also plan to use that no knot tie quilting to put these together faster. I really liked how easy that technique was. I'll post updated photos in the new year when they are completed.
